Design
On obtaining the SRS signoff from the client, The Design Stage involves two stages - High Level Design and Low Level Design.
High Level Design
The signed-off SRS document will be basis for developing the High Level Design.
The HLD deals with the design of the proposed system at the surface level.
Low Level Design
On obtaining the HLD signoff, the LLD will be developed. The LLD will have the process
flow diagrams and the table design for the proposed system. Also the Entity Relationship
Diagrams and Data Flow diagrams duly support the design document Click on the Table
Structure Image for details. Entity Relationship Diagram and Data Flow Diagram duly
support the design documents.
Task Document
The Task Document forms the base for the task allocation made to the resources mentioned
in the Project Initiation Note. The designated resources are given individual task
documents with information on the tasks allocated, the business rules to be incorporated,
estimated timeframe for completion of the tasks and so on.
Program Design Language
The PDL document is prepared by the resource who has been allocated a specific task.

This document explains the understanding of the allocated resource about the task
and hence the business rules / validations expected out of that module / functionality.
This document has to be approved by the Project Lead and hence commences the development
of the module / functionality.
Change Requests
The actual requirement of the client is subject to change intermittently due to
some issues associated with the business logic in the modules. These changes are
recorded in the form of Change Requests with duly attested by the Module Lead / Project
Lead.
